RULE XVII — APPLICATION OF VOTING
The rules governing voting shall apply to all meetings of BCHI, including meetings of delegates at the Annual Convention and meetings of the Board of Directors, unless otherwise specified in the Bylaws.
Section 1 — Convention Voting:
At meetings of delegates, only duly certified and seated delegates shall be entitled to vote.
Section 2 — Board Voting:
At meetings of the Board of Directors, each Board member shall be entitled to one vote.
Section 3 — Majority vs. Supermajority
3.1. Majority Vote
Unless otherwise specified in the Bylaws, actions shall be approved by a majority vote of the duly certified delegates present and voting at a meeting at which a quorum is present
3.2 Supermajority Vote
a) A two-thirds (2/3) vote shall be required for:
b) Amendment of the Bylaws;
c) Suspension of the Rules of Order;
d) Limiting or closing debate;
e) Waiver of required notice;
f) Any action specifically requiring a two-thirds vote under these Bylaws or Rules.
Section 4 — Conflict with Bylaws
1. In all cases, voting requirements established in the Bylaws shall control over these Rules.
